Whatever that means…. It’s Friday, gold and silver closed up some, and our miners were mixed. I’m going to cut to the chase and chart them to see where price and volume was today. I don’t expect anything to come of it. Volume was likely low.
We’ll get our decliners out of the way first, with those that fell on average volume, like: PVG and RGLD.
Others fell on light volume: PAAS, ABX.
We then go to gainers, first on big volume: SILJ and GLD.
Then, those on light volume: AG, SGDM, CDE, GDX, SSRI, SLW, HL, FSM, SLV.
And, yup, the average volume for all 15 was off by 46%! Nearly half. This is one sleepy, sleepy sector at this time.
I did get my most recent monthly statement on-line, and a comparison between the closing value in December, and what we closed at in account value for January was significant, showing that since 12/15, there’s been a considerable ‘stealth rally’ of sorts.
Here’s to your accumulation of real wealth!
