The metals have been doing fine, and the miners were mostly up today. I don’t know how much more it would take, but as they are going now, at some point, those that use technical measures to identify trends, should soon see that there has been one here among our miners since 12/23, and maybe they’ll start climbing aboard.
I’ve got decliners on big volume in PVG and FSM.
Gainers on light volume were: AG, PAAS, ABX, SLW, HL, GDX, RGLD and SLV.
These rose also, but on goodly volume! SSRI, SGDM and GLD.
Others rose on average volume: SILJ, CDE.
I suspected that volume was light, and it sure was….. off by 33%! As has been the case all along… this hardly qualifies as any kind of a rally. A good rally is driven by huge demand, as seen in big volume numbers. Nothing like that has been going on. It’s been very profitable since Christmas, but I find it tenuous, at best, and don’t care much for it.
